Father murdered in parking lot by ex-father in law.

Tragic news in Lewiston, Idaho. On Friday February 5, 2021, Lewiston Police arrived at the parking lot of the Lewiston Rosauers. John Mast, 40, was pronounced dead at hospital. Mr. Mast was recently awarded access to his children after a long hard fought custody battle of 3 years. According to police, James Robert Brashear, 67, who is the ex-father in law of the victim, allegedly shot Mr. Mast shortly before 6:00PM over what appears to be a child custody dispute.

"Several people witnessed the shooting take place and the incident was captured on video", said Lewiston Police. The suspect did not attempt to flee police and police reported that he has given a full confession. The suspect is now in the Nez Perce County jail awaiting first-degree murder charges according the Lewiston Police Lt. Rick Fuentes.

John Mast was an alienated parent for over 3 years. #ISTANDWITHJOHN has been trending all day on social media and groups that John was a member of. Many people knew him as a person who was trying to raise awareness on the issues in the family court system. He also went through what a lot of parents all over the world are going through, and it's called parental alienation.

Parental Alienation has now killed John Mast. His children will be forever scared by the memory that their father fought hard to see them, and what should have been a joyous occasion for his children to be reunited with their father, instead turned to horror. My heart goes out to the family of John Mast but breaks for his children.
