Make False Allegations punishable in Family Court

False allegations ARE on the rise. More and more parents are using this tactic, coined the "Silver Bullet", to gain immediate and full custody through Emergency Protection orders granted by Canadian judges nationwide.

According to the Criminal Code of Canada, perjury is a serious offence indictable of up to 14 years imprisonment. (Section 131 C.C.C)

Fabricating evidence under the Criminal Code of Canada is also a serious indictable offence of up to 14 years imprisonment (Section 137 C.C.C)

Obstructing Justice is a hybrid offence under the Criminal Code of Canada, an indictable offence up to 2 years imprisonment or punishable under summary conviction. (Section 139 C.C.C)

Public Mischief is also a hybrid offence under the Criminal Code of Canada, an indictable offence up to 5 years imprisonment or punishable under summary conviction. (Section 140 C.C.C)

Our family courts across Canada completely ignore the fact that people can and will lie in order to obtain custody of their children. This has been a tactic used for years and years. Many lawyers encourage their clients to use this tactic which in turn will add years of litigation. Ultimately, the lawyers and courts monetize off the families involved.

The children in these cases are being used as pawns to gain full custody in a system that allows one parent to be accused without any evidence needed. Most of the cases today require many resources including, social workers, doctors, psychiatrists, police, etc.

We are asking that everyone sign this petition to make the laws of perjury applicable in the family court system across Canada.

Sincerely,

Parents of Canada
